- 1915-02-28 68th Earl Grey's Own Rifles supplied 135 men, from Prince Rupert.
- 1915-03-02 102nd Rocky Mountain Rangers supplied 125 men, from Kamloops and Okanagan.
- 1915-03-02 107th Kootenay Rifles supplied 48 men, from Cranbrook, Nelson, and Fernie.
- 1915-03-19 50th Gordon Highlanders and 88th Victoria Fusiliers supplied 213 men, from Victoria.
- 1915-06-25 To Vancouver
- 1915-06-30 Embarked Grampian
- 1915-07-11 Arrived Plymouth
- 1915-07-12 Arrived Shornecliffe
- 1915-09-10 184 ORs were transferred to 6th Brigade.

- 1915-12-23 3rd Division is forming in France; 48th are suggested to be the pnr bat.
1915-12-15 Maj.Gen F. Howard, Inspector of Infantry signed report:
1. A remarkably fine battalion of exceptionally good physique.
2. 16 Officers previous occupations render them exceptionally suited to pioneer work.
